The Not About Me Residency is a seasonal incubator located in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn, in which N.A.ME invites an artist or creative-collective to enter and participate in the gallery’s community in a leadership role. 

The residency is designed individually to support the artist(s) in their current practice and can include financial or material support, designated studio space, and/or career mentorship based on the needs of the artist(s) and the present capacities of the organization. 

We are open to artists in any stage of their career and especially encourage emerging artists who have not yet exhibited or held a residency program to apply. 

While the process and products of the residency will vary greatly depending on the vision of the artist(s), each residency is expected to result in the production of the following: (i) an exhibition of work, (ii) an artist talk, (iii) a collaborative product launch, (iv) and a community empowerment workshop. 

Applications are open seasonally through an Open Call process.
